Tom gives a rare televised interview lasting 60 minutes to Laurie Taylor in a new television series titled In Confidence on Friday 16th April at 11.35pm and Sunday 18th April at 9pm on Sky Arts 1 and HD (first broadcast on Tuesday 13th April 2010 at 10pm).
Radio 4 presenter and Sociology Professor Laurie Taylor has known Tom since they were both students at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. Several years later, when they performed a revue together in York, Tom was spotted by someone from the National Theatre who invited him to an audition with Laurence Olivier. By then, Laurie was already Professor of Sociology at the University of York.
Laurie’s series of interviews, In Confidence, delves beneath the surface of some of the most creative spirits of the decade.
