On March 26th 2013 various sets of stamps were issued by Royal Mail to celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary.
The first class stamps, which are now available to buy online and in 9,000 Post Office branches, feature images of all 11 Doctors since the series was first broadcast in 1963.
The Doctors’ faces are set against cosmic imagery taken from the swirling screen ident of each show’s opening sequence and with the official Doctor Who logo from each series in the bottom left hand corner.
There’s also a mixed sheet of stamps featuring the TARDIS and four of the BBC sci-fi drama’s most iconic villains: a Dalek, a Cyberman, a Weeping Angel and an Ood.
