I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You opened my eyes to all the wonders of science fiction as a child. You will always be my first thought and last thought in the wonder you created in my mind.

I recently celebrated my sixty third birthday, and my adorable, daughters birthday, that follows my own by a day.
Somehow she found a forty year old Dr. Who fan magazine, and pointedly told me. That it was the same age as she is. I must say they are both beautiful and remarkably well preserved. I cherish this time traveler, and will of course have it suitably framed.
Thank you Doctor for all the wonderful adventures and insights about how to be a truly Human being.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Baker in St. Louis . . . it would have been Spring 1984. Ah, what an adventure that was!

I enjoy browsing through dictionaries, too . . . still trying to track down an elusive one that has blue-foil thumb tabs.

Thank you Tom for your efforts in bringing Doctor Who alive. I enjoyed the show as a child and continue to do so now as a senior citizen. My fascination with the show has grown - inspiring me to join the Doctor Who Society of Canada, to build Dalek KaiKor and to begin attending Comic Cons as the 4th Doctor.

Thank you

Tom, just wanted to say thanks for so many great performances over the years, and especially for the 4th Doctor, my favorite since childhood! During a period of recent unemployment I listened to your many BBC and Big Finish audio performances, which were filled with integrity, wit, boldness, and fun.
I must say that helped me to keep my spirits up and boost my morale until steady work and a better career could be embarked upon. Facing adversity by tweaking it in the proverbial nose was something I think I learned from the good Doctor. Keep that twinkle in your eyes! Many thanks.

Sincerely yours,
Bill

Hello Tom,

I can't even imagine how many hours of my life has been spent listening to or watching your interpretation of the Doctor. By far and away my favorite. You will always be my Doctor. Thank you so much for all the memories and joy.

Dear Tom,
You were my favorite Doctor when I was 12, and remain so today.
I just finished listening to you reading your book Scratchman and what a marvelous time I had. What really comes through, and makes my heart smile, is your obvious affection for Lis Sladen and Ian Marter, your insightful thoughts about the character, the show, and about life itself. Thank you for that, and for what remains some of the best, most magical and unique moments ever broadcast on television. I wish you all the best.

Hi Tom,
I've just sent in an order and am sending you a pic to autograph. just wanted to say thanks in advance for that. I really appreciate that you provide this service. when I was a kid growing up here in Indiana, I discovered Doctor Who on PBS. it was just so fantastic watching you in your adventures as The Doctor. now, of course, I'm much older and unfortunately live in pain, but when I watch you in the old episodes, I can forget all that, and just be that kid again. so, I just wanted to thank you for that.

wish that I could get to meet you, but doesn't seem likely now, so getting you to sign the pic that I've sent, will be the next best thing. so thanks again, I'm looking forward to getting it. and big thanks for doing all the Big Finish audios, so great that you're still giving us new adventures.

Sincerely,
John Stanley

Dear Tom,

As a relatively new fan to Doctor Who by comparison of many others out in the world, I can say with absolute faith that having seen all of the Classic series (which was a rather massive undertaking considering how long you were in the part of The Doctor) that I can completely understand why you became and still are the face of Doctor Who.

You're still a highlight among the great actors who have stepped into the role as The Doctor and an inspiration for a writer such as myself with your charming and delightful performances.

Wishing you in good health. Love from Harley.

Hi Tom
I have been a fan of yours since my dad sat me down to watch the classic Dr who when I was 5 years old and I am 15 now.
It was through my dad's love of doctor who that I now follow in his footsteps but it is because of you and the other amazing actors from doctor who, that got me into collecting doctor who memorabilia, I am now the current Guinness world record holder for most Dr who memorabilia.
I owe you so much for inspiring me to achieve this...SO THANK YOU MR BAKER XXX.
I have tried to get to see you at signings in London but my dad has been too ill we had to miss you last weekend, I will however keep a look out on your next signings and will try my very best to meet you in person, that is my dream 😁 and thank you for everything you have done in the making of. The best program on t.v and in history.
Please take care, be happy and be nice to jelly babies

Dear Mr Baker,

My mum watched you as the 4th Doctor when she was younger and now you're my favourite after I saw Genesis Of The Daleks. I have been a fan of yours ever since then and I love your famous quote "There's no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes".

I've also enjoyed the other roles you've played as Rasputin, Prince Koura in the Golden Voyage of Sinbad and as the narrator of Little Britain. I look forward to finding more that you've done and reading Scratchman of course.

Thank you for all that you've done and continue to do.

With best regards, your Australian fan Jaidyn.

Hello! I've been watching Doctor Who since early elementary school (at least 37 years ago) and you, by far, are my FAVORITE Doctor!!! You were my first Doctor and when I run into a "Whovian" I always mention you and have fond memories of watching you Saturday afternoons.
Doctor Who has been a big part of my life. This may sound strange but it's true: I've survived some traumatic events and one of the only things that calms me down from anxiety is listening to soundtracks from Classic Doctor Who.
I love music in general but those tracks are the ones that work the fastest!
Lastly I wanted to share a fun fact. You and my mom are only a few days apart in age--born in the same month in the same year but in two different parts of the world! I greatly appreciate your work over the years bringing joy to many!! Take care!

I have finished reading you Scratchman book, that I received for my birthday. I felt, when completing it, it was a love letter to your fans. I have a lovely long letter from you written in the mid 80's, when I missed the convention and sent you a note and a small libation. It was my only fan letter ever and you were so kind as to reply with a letter and some Dr. Who memorabilia. I still have that letter in my keepsake box. It, and your book, are lovely and deeply appreciated. As is your Doctor. Keep well.

I finished a walk from Hastings at Rye on Saturday, where I was amazed to see Tom Baker coming towards me along the pavement, as I had no idea he lived there. As someone who has watched Doctor Who since the start in 1963, you will understand that this was the high spot of my day! As I was with a group and he was clearly on his way somewhere, I didn't think to interrupt him, but I would have said that he has given me much viewing pleasure over the years and I still watch his wonderful Doctor Who episodes.

He was a real gentleman and I must say I was welling up a bit. Thank you Tom it really made my Holiday. All the best , Richard.

Dear Mr. Baker,

You're the sole reason I would stay up until the late hours of the morning watching Dr. Who in the 1980s. You will and always will be known as The Doctor, Sir Tom Baker. I actually purchased the original 1980 soundtrack.

Best regards,

Dearest Tom Baker,

I just want to let you know how much you are appreciated ad loved for the character that you created in Doctor Who. My husband and I are constantly returning to your Doctor Who seasons just to enjoy your presence in our home. We are older fans (both 66 years old) but age does not keep us from sharing our love for you at our DragonCon convention here in Atlanta GA each September September 1-5. My husband dresses as you and we are constantly stopped for photos because as EVERYONE tells us "Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor". We just want you to know how loved you are here in The States. Thank you for all of the Audio Dramas and TV episodes and the books you have written. It is just a joy to hear your voice. God Bless you, we thank God for creating you and the planet has been a happier place because of your presence here. Have a wonderful life! Sincerely Connie & Paul Benham

I loved the book. I'm from Wales but I've lived in the U.S. since a year after college. I ordered it over Amazon and read it in 2 days. It was in your voice and I loved that period: you were my Doctor from when I was 10-16. When my students ask me why I became an astronomer, I tell them it was because of Star Trek and Doctor Who (and when I realized I could do the mathematics, I went for it). I have seen your other work, and always appreciate your voice-acting. I managed to meet the late Leonard Nimoy and thank him for his influence. I would like to thank you for yours.

I read a piece of trivia with a quote from Tom suggesting he didn't do a good job in the Hound of the Baskervilles. He stated BBC didn't like it either. Only recently did I find it available on Amazon Prime. I absolutely loved it. This is one of my favorite Holmes stories and I had thought I'd seen them all.

As an artist myself, I am often my own harshest critic as well, but I hope the fact my wife and I adored that version means something. We had a great time. Thank you for trying it, and delivering what I thought was a committed performance.

I have a story that Tom Baker really ought to know of. When I was about thirteen years old, the school I attended organized a field trip where everyone of that age would be loaded onto buses , taken to a movie theatre and shown Nicholas and Alexandria. On the return trip, the conversation on the bus I was on was dominated by comments such as "What about that guy who played Rasputin?" "Wasn't that guy who played Rasputin a great actor?" "That Rasputin guy did such a great job." etc. etc.

I had never heard people of such an age, my age, talk about an actor so much before which is probably why it stuck with me the way it did. They were very impressed with you and being American of course at that point had never heard of Dr. Who.

I loved your portrayal of Dr. Who as well; best Dr. ever!
