Tom's Christmas message ... See MoreSee Less
Imagining a scene where The Doctor faces a couple Daleks on some dark corner of Skaros... The Doctor: Do you know who I am? Daleks: [nod eyestalks] The Doctor: Have you got any idea how many Daleks I've dispatched over the years? Daleks: [nod eyestalks again] Nigel: I mean, look at you two. I've got a sonic screwdriver. You've got no chance. Why don't you just fall down? Go on, then... [Daleks fall down]
Many years ago, too many to count now, I met a man called Tom Baker at a place called Longleat house in Wiltshire. "Dr Who Day", always held in the month of August every year. But this year was special, Tom Baker would be there. Guilty of force feeding my young Sons on vintage Dr Who as shown only on UK Gold at that time, at some crazy early hour every Sunday morning. So many people were there to meet him and we queued for hours under the heat of August sun. When eventually our time arrived to meet Tom he was simply glowing, radiating a kind of luminosity, that grin was unmistakably his. We shock hands and exchanged pleasantries, he signed some things that we had brought with us and all for free, those were better times indeed. He even posed for a photo with my kids who by now had lost their initial shyness. My kids are now all grown and that photo is rather faded, but what a magical day that was and one that will remain stamped in our memories forever. Thank You Tom Baker. Our Dr Who. 💕
Ooh Happy Easter lovely man! Know that you are loved, admired and praised lots and lots! From my battered old heart to yours xx
Tom Baker was the very first actor I remember as Doctor Who. He was always so very friendly & charismatic as the Doctor. The saddest day in Doctor Who was when he left the show.
Just re-watched all Doctor Who episodes with Tom Baker on Britbox. He's still my favorite Doctor of all time!
Oh dearest Tom, I grew up with you, in Australia, watching Doctor Who. You are my favourite Doctor, the rest are rubbish, and my 3 children who are now adulty, became addicted to WHO because of you. I recently myself, found you narrating for Little Britain, having only watched this year 2020 , I was so happy to hear your voice again, absolutely hilarious. Hope you are well. My best to you Tom , you are a Legend for us. 💓
HAPPY DR. WHO DAY . You were THE BEST Doctor .
I need to talk to Tom Baker about the Sword of Never. I am trying to have one crafted but I would like it to be his vision of it. I do have one vision of my own after research and consideration. This is to be a Christmas gift for my wife and it needs to be ordered soon since it will be handcrafted.
sandra is not very well she has been through radiotherapy and chemo, and has been very badly affected.
You doing OK Tom?
Merry Christmas Tom, just seeing you makes me smile. The greatest of all my childhood heroes, so lovely to have you in fine fettle and still bringing joy into our hearts. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2020 (and that long overdue knighthood!)
Love you Mr. Baker
Hi tom. I was wondering if you came to my primary school in the late 70’s. You dressed up as the doctor. You might of known a teacher there It was Darlinghurst public school in Sydney Australia
I really like doctor who
A very old dear friend once said, “travel broadens the mind” and it’s as true today as ever. Even if it’s only on the computer, watch and learn how other cultures live and work, and you learn more about yourself.
Happy Christmas to you in August of 2020. Yes, I will still LIKE you when real Christmas arrives this year!
The very best of times and health to you! Praise for your work and demeanor. Always a joy!
We absolutely love you, Tom !
hi tom and sue hope you are both well,
You are so loved.
Merry Christmas to you Tom. And thank you for all the fun and pleasure you have brought to me through your work. I've loved watching you since first seeing you in Genesis of the Daleks in 1979. I hope you are pleased to know how much joy you have brought to millions of people all over the world. And that is what Christmas, and life for that matter, is really all about.
Merry Xmas Tom you were the doctor I grew up with. I still enjoy watching your episodes. THANK YOU for all the pleasure and enjoyment over the years. I hope you have a healthy new year
I was a little girl when I first saw you as the Doctor. Thirty years later having never seen you since nor spoken of you, I came across a Doctor Who T-shirt. The memory of your performance was so endearing I recalled you with such wonder - It reawakened my love for the Good Doctor all over again. Thank you dear friend! Merry Christmas!
