What a FABULOUS audiobook this is (but I'm only halfway through it yet, so No Spoilers given or wanted!). When Tom is Dr Who he throws himself into the part which, apart from a few breaks, has been his alter-ego for more than 40 years on screen and radio/audio books. To have a Dr Who book which he himself has written, with such knowledge and experience, is a true marvel. Instead of hamming up the text, it's pre-hammed before he gets his wonderful oratory powers around it. Even how he announces the chapters is superbly done, with a cheeky, I'm-over-80-but-still-with-a-wicked-glint-in-my-eye manner. Please sir - can we have some more? This is the best thing who've ever done :)

Just finished the unabridged audiobook of "Scratchman"; and it's a delight. Elements of the best parts of the show, the wonderful mad genius of Douglas Adams influence in there, and a mind as wonderfully deep and dark as Tom Baker's produce this epic tale. Oh, and that surprise meeting at the end... Perfect LOVED it. Thanks, Doctor. Always my hero. xxx
